What joints are often affected by osteoarthritis?
Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis which often arises with increasing age. In osteoarthritis, the cartilage at the articulating surface of bones that cushions the joints wears down as the bones rub each other. The joints of hands, fingers, knees, spine and hips are most prone to osteoarthritis. Wanna know more about it??

A- factors that increase the risks of developing osteoarthritis are:
- Age over 50
- Gender- women are more prone to get osteoarthritis than men
- Obesity
- An occupation that needs squatting and kneeling quite often
- Standing or walking for prolonged periods
- Outdoor sports
Is cerebral palsy life-threatening or hereditary?
Cerebral palsy occurs due to maldevelopment of the brain, that’s why it’s neither life-threatening nor hereditary.
how long would a consultation extend?
the duration of the consultation is decided by the doctor. Presently, time slots of 15 minutes, 30 minutes and 60 minutes are available. It's totally up to the doctor on how long he would like to extend the consultation.

What causes cerebral palsy?
The aetiology of cerebral palsy can be attributed to genetic or development factors, injury or disease
During pregnancy
A low birth weight baby is prone to get cerebral palsy. Other factors during pregnancy which can cause cerebral palsy are
- Multiple births (twins or triplets)
- Interference with fetal growth due to damaged placenta
- Poor nutrition
- Infections
- Maternal diabetes, hyperthyroidism or high blood pressure
- Exposure to a toxic substances like nicotine and alcohol
- Chances of malformation of the developing brain
- Biochemical genetic disorders
During labour
- Premature deliver
- Abnormal positioning of the baby
- Fetal infection due to rupture of amniotic membranes
In early childhood
- Infections like meningitis
- Brain haemorrhage
- Head injury
- Asphyxia (lack of oxygen)
- Seizures
